One EH because with the holidays coming there will be plenty of food sinning going on! LOL

Today I am making scones, just fancy biscuits, country ham and grits. (nod to my southern birth )
Of course lots of coffee.

You're going to cringe on this one, but every year I make Fudge for everybody. It's a special fudge made with Velveeta Cheese. It's delicious, but definately NOT Low Cal/Carb. If everybody wants the recipe, I'll post it.

How many slices??? Everyone knows the only way to measure bacon is by the pound!
I'll take half a pound of that sugar-cured stuff, with the nice crispy fat.

And methinks you can never have enough Fudge Factors.

I can't eat a pound at a time so I measure bacon by the "rasher"

Default Boy Howdy aint it the truth, especially the relatives.

The cousins measure their bacon by the head count.
They both count each hog then add their figures together.
They also think they have twice as many bottles of shine than they actually do. They don't dip into the inventory and cheat on each other. It's just fuzzy math.
They don't cheat on their sisters moms and grandmas either !

1 lb of Velveeta Cheese. Stop laughing, it's real!
4 lb of powdered sugar.
1 cup of Hershey's Cocoa
1 lb of butter. Don't use margerin.
3 table spoons of vanilla.

1 cup of nuts (optional)

Mix the sugar and cocoa in a bowl. Slowly heat up the cheese and butter until liquid. Pour the liquid into the powder bowl and stir. Going to get hard to stir but keep going. When you think your arm is going to break, add the vanilla (and nuts if you want) and stir some more. When you think you have it all blended, pour it into a 9x13 ungreased pan. It will be about 1.5 inches thick. Just set on the counter and let cool over night.

If your doing it on the stove, just melt the cheese slowly, don't burn it. If you do it in the microwave, heat it a couple minutes and then stir, couple minutes and stir, until liquid.

Could that recipe be altered to use real melting cheese instead of the Velveeta ?

I would't think so because of the heat process.

I think I am going to try that after we plow out tomorrow
