Default Black Panther sighting in North Mississippi

I live between Olive Branch and Hernando, Mississippi. I saw a black panther and 4 cubs yesterday in a pasture about .5 mile from my house. My son- in-law saw one about a year ago in the same general area, and I saw one about 5 years ago in the same area.

The grey version my mom saw cross the road was in Jefferson Davis county, MS. But I've heard one panther cry in my neighborhood before we had many neighbors a decade ago in Marion county. Also seen & heard Bobcats in my back yard where I camp. I definitely need a dog that will stay out of the road. This week I saw a cougar print on the land I'm buying (also inMarion County). And since they can leap 15 feet straight up, & 45 feet horizontally, my only defense is that I'm pretty good at being loud especially when threatened. When camping in separate tents, my teenage son said he heard wild hog, the second night he said it was just me snoring. Since Panthers like to eat wild hogs, I probably won't be camping in the tent by myself anymore!

It wasn't to far from there around arkabutla lake that I saw one face to face a few years ago within 3 feet of me .I opened the door of my camper and there it was sitting facing away from me when i said honey look at this it turned around and looked at me I got scared and shut the door fast .It was very very large solid black with a long tail . Today when I saw the video of the one in hernando I thought that's exactly what saw to the t .

This is the video of the sighting a few days ago at Hernando, and there can be doubt it is really a cougar.

"There can be no doubt" is what I meant to say.
