Worthington, Minnesota (Okabena: restaurant, parks, area)

(At the end of May I went on a brief road trip through the counties I had yet to pass through in southern Minnesota, and I also dipped into northern Iowa to spend the night in Spirit Lake. Here are my belated pictures of the various towns I found there, some unexpectedly vibrant and others in a state of decline). This one is of WORTHINGTON.

Worthington, Minnesota, population 12,764, is a surprisingly vibrant and diverse city located in Nobles County. Roughly half of the population consists of visible minorities, with immigrants from Central America and Mexico especially making their presence felt on the streets, storefronts, and parks. There is also a sizable Asian and East African population.
