You do realize that part of Walmart's strategy to hire a high number of part-time and low wage workers in order to cut corners on things like having to offer benefits to a large percentage of its workforce though, right?

Anyway, this is a good article that talks about 7 large corporations that offer health benefits to part-time employees, one if which is Target:

That is the strategy for EVERY retail establishment, which is the whole point. Walmart gets a bad rap for how they run their company but EVERY other retail establishment does exactly the same. Try getting a full time clerk job at Target, Kohl's, JC Penney, Macys, etc. They don't HAVE them.

Walmart gets a bad rap because they are by far the largest fish in their particular pond. That draws attention to their actions.
