LOL! Just more exciting for me than boring warm and dry patterns so I tend to be more active with the opposite. Stay safe.

Just let the pup out - wind is strong and there is a bit of sleet - not quite snow - yet. It is Dec in MN so our weather has been unusual.

Parts of MN are in for it.

Where were the plows tonight? The roads were HORRIBLE! Almost an hour driving home from Edina to Lakeville. People were swerving all over 35W because they couldn't find the lanes. Surface roads even worse. What the heck man?

Golfing into December this year...we've had some really strange winters lately. I recall for the first time in my life within the last few winters (can't remember which one exactly) golfing in January or February, as I recall.

I took 94 W last night home from Oakdale to St. Paul at around 11pm...I did about 30mph the whole way on the freeway. I am driving a "new" mid-SUV that I've never driven in winter before so I was leery about being in that crap. Only saw one car in the ditch - it was catastrophic bad I was surprised didn't see more cars in ditches, but it was 11pm.

I think the "storm" came through at as good a time as could be expected, maybe a little earlier would have been a little better, but I would have thought MNDOT would have had the freeways a little better cleared.

That precip was an ugly snow/ice mixture for a good while. I had to scrape not only my vehicle, but my windshield wipers, too. They were passing right over the moisture on the windshield because they were encased in snow and ice. The wind must have literally forced it between the blade and the windshield. Fortunately I realized this before I got on the freeway.

Even though it was short lived and we only got a couple inches of accumulation on the south side of town, that was a bonafide storm last night. The wind and snow were raging, visibility was terrible, and the roads an absolute mess. It was a lot worse that I had thought it would be.
