Thinking about moving to MN. and want to enjoy a variety of excellent fishing opportunities. I do need to find work and affordable housing to rent. What like some recommendations. Thanks.

1. Brainerd.
2. Grand Rapids
3. Bemidji

Housing will be most in Brainerd. All are great for variety and quality of fishing. You could fish a different lake each week and never get bored. Unsure of job market.

I think a lot of it will depend on what type of work you do for a living.

Duluth has some wonderful fishing too; but I think that just about any town or dity in MN has terrific fishing within less than an hours drive from the center of town.

Default Perhaps Waterville/Waseca area

Depending on your job, Waterville or Waseca MN are great fishing areas with a doable commute to the Twin Cities or an even better commute to Mankato.

Northern Minnesota definetely has more lakes, but less job opportunities depending on your career.

I agree, Duluth has a lot of places to fish. Lester River, Congdon Creek, Lake Superior, and a ton of rivers up the north shore. Further North towards the iron range, Virginia, Hibbing, Ely, you will find about 5,000 of the 10,000 lakes in Mn.
