Also true. I looked at the rates and although it looks like it'd be pretty spendy, I'd still probably find the MNPass to be better than sitting in traffic if carpooling or taking a bus aren't options.

Ok, We just found out that we will be moving to MN. Thanks for the info about the schools. How are the Eden Prairie schools? What would the commute be from there to DT?

Traffic in the twin cities is not free cruising - but its not bad either if you are moving from an area with real traffic issues.

Honestly, except for a handful of districts around the metro, all the schools in MN are good. EP is HUGE but good as well. EP and Wayzata are the 2 largest high schools in the state. Commute to downtown would pretty much be the same.

We moved to MN from VA a little over 4 years ago. We ended up choosing the Minnetonka school system. My oldest has an IEP. She is cognitively and physically challenged. We love our school system for her. I looked into Wayzata before we moved as well. I am fairly sure that we would have been happy there too.

Like others have said, the majority of the school systems here are top-notch. That being said, if you want the best of the bunch, these should probably be your choices.
