Hi,

I was wondering if there was mass transit avail. In burnsville, apple valleys, eagan, mendota heights?

Basically if you were commuting from uptown mpls or st.Paul to these areas by bus, would it be difficult?

In short, yes. Most of the transit for the outer suburbs is centered around getting people to the downtown areas in the morning and back in the evening - pretty much nonexistant on nights and weekends.

Check out the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority for routes and times. There are floods of buses going from the transit stations for commute times. There are also shuttle services, car and vanpools available as well.

From Uptown, yes. You can get to those areas, but it involves some long bus rides and multiple transfers. At the right time of day and depending on specific location that you're commuting to/from it might not be too unbearable, but it's almost certainly going to involve at least one transfer.
