Greetings,

My husband and I may be building a home in the area soon. We need to find temporary housing after our house sells.

I'm wondering if anyone here knows of any places we could be look in to. We have 3 young children and want it to be minimally disruptive. We're not sure yet how long we will need a place to stay, I think maybe 1-2 months. We'd like to find an option where the monthly cost would stay under $3k, and we would prefer to stay in the southern suburbs, the closer to Lakeville the better.

Thanks for your time!

Look on AirBNB-- and longer term/extended stay hotels (many of which have suites that will accommodate your family size)-- when we were looking at temporary housing 4 years ago, we found that hotels don't charge tax on stays of 30 days or more (and many of them included meals, as well as had kitchens).

Another thought, since it's summer, perhaps even finding something fun that's on a lake would work to make it more vacation-like?

I know of a friend who stayed at the South Fork Townhomes, it wasn't paradise but they said i, but they said it was nice enough. But I second the suggestion above, with a $3K budget and only a month or two of need, short term stay hotels, air bnb's, or rental townhomes are all good options. I also wouldn't hesitate to reach out to a couple of realtors, you never know who has an idle house.....

I would check on Corporate Housing in the area. I used it for a couple months and it came in lower than your budget. Place I stayed was in Bloomington (Genesee Towers) and it was perfect.
