I know that Osseo district us going through some issues but it looks like those are mainly on the Osseo side. What about the schools that are Maple Grove schools? Like Maple Grove High and the Junior and Elemen. that would attend Maple Grove High? Those seem to be pretty good schools. Am I wrong?

Maple Grove schools are part of the Osseo school district. There was a story in the paper a couple of days ago about a lawsuit with the Maple Grove High School that has been dragging on for a few years and has costed the district a few hundred thousand dollars so far. It was something about some gay students wanting to form some sort of group to meet during school hours and the school not letting them. These students slapped a lawsuit on the school and the school district has been giving lots of money to their lawyers trying to fight it. It is certainly not helping their financial situation any.

The Osseo/Maple Grove District is closing several schools. The schools being closed, I am guessing, are more in the Osseo area because they are probably older buildings. It is still going to affect the Maple Grove schools, raising class sizes, cutting programs, etc.

Maple Grove Jr. High is too crowded and the class sizes are high. It's too bad, because it doesn't look like they will be building another Jr. High in the area soon.
