How is the Lake Nokomis area - as in, right on the lake? Particularly the South side of the lake. Besides the noise from the airport - how is the safety of the neighborhood?

Always wear a life jacket if you're going in the lake in a boat.

I don't think the crime problem is any more or less than in other suburbs. I have a few friends who live there. So far so good.

But I think you have to have the life preserver within reach or in the boat with you.

South of Lake Nokomis is quite nice and the neighborhood is pretty safe. I lived close to Lake Hiawatha for about 5 years and loved it. Nice vibe around there. The airplane noise is the worse thing about the area.
