Hi All,

We are brand new to Eden Prairie and looking to go out to celebrate my birthday. I hoping for restaurant and bar recommendations. For food, I just want a great meal. I am not looking for a 5-star restaurant but taste and ambiance, meaning fun, are important. My husband and I are in our early 30's and want to hit a bar or two after dinner. Something with great people and maybe some good music. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Biaggis - Italian Restaurants

The food here is pretty good and the atmosphere is nice. I think they have an outdoor patio if the weather is nice. There are several restaurant/bars right around there as well so you could wander around to find some music, etc.

Buca de Beppo (also Italian) is kind of a fun place to go. As a group, you decide on what food to get, and then they bring out huge bowls and platters and everybody digs in and shares. It is a unique experience for anyone who hasn't been there before.

Santori Taverna and Woody's Grille will frequently have live music. Redstone, Campiello, Wildfire, and
CG's suggestion Biaggis are all good. PLEASE stay away from Buca de Beppo -- their food is horrendous. Yes, their environment is nice for big gatherings--but you wanted a nice meal right?

You really can't go wrong by just heading over to the Nicollet Mall area of Downtown Minneapolis. There is a 4-5 block stretch that is chock full of classy restaurants and fun bars. You could eat dinner at Vincent and then head over to Brit's, The Local and then Barrio for some drinks.
