Are there any neighborhoods in Minneapolis that are predominantly Asian Indian? I would be interested in moving there if so.

Indian specifically, or anything East Asian?

I don't know that anywhere is predonimantly Indian. There is apparently a large Indian population in the NW suburbs, and a Hindu temple in Maple Grove, but Indians are certainly not the majority there. Other than that, you'll find a lot of Indian restaurants and Indian-owned businesses in NE along Central or University.

For other East Asian communities (specifically, the Hmong and Vietnamese), University Ave between Lexington and the Capitol, and in fact up any of those major arteries towards suburbs like Roseville and Falcon Heights.

No. There are certainly Indian people living in the Twin Cities, but no specific neighborhoods with anywhere near majority, or even significant minority, Indian population.

I would agree with that, NE along Central or University would be an area that I have noticed an increase in the Indian population.

Definitely Eden Prairie. I've seen/met many. There is no specific area of concentration but more spread out all over Eden Prairie. In my immediate neighborhood from what I can see about 50 families, no kidding.

I would agree with this based on what we see at various high school sports and activities.

He asked for communities in Minneapolis. Last time I checked, there's not a Lexington ave nor a state capitol in Minneapolis.

Well, feeling hypersensitive, are we?

I guess I assumed the OP was willing to make a five mile trek to satisfy his/her needs. Thanks for hijacking the thread to put me in my place, though
