Can you give me your opinions on Menomonee Falls and describe the area? Is it nicer than Brown Deer? Is it cheap? Cheap as Brown Deer? What types of people live there?

Menomonee Falls is not cheap, but I guess it depends on what you are looking for. Are you looking to rent or purchase a home? Menomonee Falls has an excellent school district. It is close to most amenities including a mall, Walmart etc. It is a family friendly community. In my opinion, it is nicer than Brown Deer, but Brown Deer has some nice areas as well. Middle to upper class people live in Men. Falls, but you may find some lower income people as well. Brown Deer also has a lot to offer and is close to everything. You would have to visit these areas to determine which you would like better.

Don't forget to check the City Data demographic info:

Brown Deer: https://www.city-data.com/city/Brown-Deer-Wisconsin.html

Menomonee Falls: https://www.city-data.com/city/Menomo...Wisconsin.html

Overall, both communities are considered solidly middle class, though you'll find a range of income and educational levels in each. In Brown Deer, the more prosperous folks live closer to Mequon (north of Brown Deer Rd.). In MF, the more prosperous folks live farther west and closer to Brookfield.

Income levels for both are pretty similar, but house prices in MF are higher than in BD. (Over $200,000 in MF, and in the $100,000 range in BD.) This is partly because MF houses tend to come with more land and are newer construction; MF is more classically "suburban." BD is closer to Milwaukee, and has a more urban feel, including denser neighborhoods with smaller lots and older houses.

MF has around 35,000 residents and a relatively low population density. The population is growing, and is predominantly white caucasian.

BD has around 11,000 residents and a relatively high population density. The population is declining slightly, as is the case with most inner-ring suburbs. Most of the residents are white, but BD has a significant middle-class African-American population.

Other differences between the two: BD has more rentals and more condos (this helps accounts for the lower average price in housing). Families predominate in BD, but there are many singles, too. In MF, there are fewer rentals and fewer condos; free-standing single-family houses predominate. MF has been attracting young families with children; BD, like other inner-ring suburbs, has been "empty-nesting."

Hope this helps!
