Hey guys. I am visiting some family/vacationing in Chicago on Wednesday, but I'm flying into Milwaukee.

I've never been there, but thought about moving there before. I love all the developments happening in the area right now. I arrive between 11 and noon, and I'd be heading out around 7 at night. So not even a whole day.

I'm aware of the tourist stuff to do, can anyone suggest some local stuff to check out? A neighborhood? Any good local food places I could eat lunch at?

Thanks. I also won't have a car, but isn't the bus system one of the better ones?

Harley Museum, Art Museum- you don't have to go inside just being outside and looking at the building is amazing enough. Their are upscale lounges and bars/restaurants on Milw.St between Wisconsin.Ave and Mason.ST and then also more bars on water St(just ask the cabbie). Jefferson street between Mason and Wells. Brewery Tour. Pottawatomie is a good casino. Brady street is cool too and the third Ward for shopping and drinks and shops. The river walk but it might be too cold for that unless it doesn't bother you. The safe house is a great place to eat very fun place as well. Old world third street is more restaurants and bars and shops. Depends what's going on at the bradley center but you could always catch a basketball game pro or college.

This site might help OnMilwaukee.com - Milwaukee's Daily Magazine or Milwaukee Nights

Just rattled a few off my head at 1046pm.

Thanks for the suggestions. I certainly don't mind the cold. I actually love it.
