The curious would like to know why you did not pick Marquette as its similar in size as Travis City. Or one of the other spots in the UP, its a big place, maybe too big , or remote in places ?

We did put our name on he list at an apartment complex and we remained on the list for over a year. Never had a 2br 2ba with garage open up. We found better rentals in TC before we bought. It seemed foolish to buy without feeling out the town.

In all fairness, MQT does have a housing shortage, especially houses . Afordable multi family buildings are always sold out before they are built. One bright spot is I know of several complexes going up that will have a mix of business, store front, and on upper floors apartments. That alone is a drop in the bucket considering how fast MQT is growing, hopefully investors will get on the bandwagon with interest rates still very low, and start building more dwellings. Our next problem is finding skilled labor, for most contractors , that's their biggest problem.
