This is still a small idea, not even in the buisness plan mode, the census in 2000 listed Hemlock, MI population as $1,585ppl. Is this enough to keep a moderately priced salon afloat? The Income level was 40,000 to 45,000 in 2000 and still is around the same today. 9% of the population in Hemlock, is below the poverty line.

There is a small town called Merrill nearby that would possibly travel to Hemlock for good hair care, and also the saginaw area is close by as well. I'm wondering if I should include my potential of customers to all of Richland twp. and beyond, or only to the residents of Hemlock? Knowing the percentage of people that would actually commit to coming there would need to be a big component of my plan but I'm unsure of how to accomplish that.

Also, is there a need for it in the area? Do people want a nice place to go or are they comfortable with what Hemlock has to offer? If anyone that is from Hemlock reads this let me know your thoughts? Majority of the people I know that still reside in Hemlock travel to sheilds, saginaw to get their hair and nails done. Wouldn't you rather stay in town to get your hair done? If you had a reputable place to go with great service and products would you change? What do you feel is a fair price for a hair cut? what do you pay to have your hair cut now and how far do you travel to the salon?

Thankyou to all who reply!
