We always have the family at our house for a total of about twenty people. They are calling for snow flurries on Thanksgiving--how cool is that? This year I am ESPECIALLY thankful that God brought us home to live in beautiful Michigan after living in a different state for part of the year. There really is no place like home!

My saintly mother from SE Michigan will be here in Phoenix for the annual Eatfest.

The Lions will be on the boob tube at 10:30 am, which means that no one will throw beer cans at it.

And yeah, we'll prob'ly by scarfin' down turkey and all the fixins on the patio.......

Not doing much this year. My DW is an Emergency Room Nurse and this is her year to work the Holidays. Day before, the Holiday and day after for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Not the first time she has had to work, not going to be the last either I bet. We just hang out at home and have the feast when she gets up and gets ready to go into work (Nights). I will do all the cooking this year, then me and the boys will get the Christmas lights up around the house after Supper and the DW has gone to work, so they are lit up when she gets home.

That's so nice Bydand that you get the lights up for your wife!

My son is coming home from college tomorrow and we are having my brother's family over. After the turkey is unstuffed and we are completely stuffed the guys will have their annual Thanksgiving day "touch" football game. It's going to be fun!

I never travel on thanksgiving. Maybe it's just me but I find it to be the worse time to travel.

Wife's family is coming to our house. This is my favortie holiday and I like to host. My family is too spread out and I will be seeing them for Christmas anyways.

Honestly...Turkey, homemade stuffing and mashed potatoes...don't need anything else and family is optional but nice to have around

Sounds like cha-ching. My g/f is an LPN at a nursing home and gets time and half for the holiday and double time for Christmas even if she doesn't get 40 hours for the week. I always tell her yeah were going to miss you and your going to miss us but just think of that $30 an hour the whole time your working.
