Concerning Ohio, as a Spartan fan, I appreciated Ohio State beating Michigan to keep them somewhat humble after owning us for many years in this decade. I hear most of them have no love for Spartans though since we beat them (‘98?) when they were undefeated and #1 in the nation. I guess they know how to hold on to a grudge. I’m not a big fan of the state itself as most of it is pretty flat and lifeless though southern Ohio can be quite nice. Otherwise, the people are solidly Midwestern and I have no problem with them. I suspect most of the contempt is based on the football rivalry.
