I am wondering- now that it is said that so many people have moved away from Michigan, how has that made an impact on property taxes? I used to live in Michigan and loved it! I lived there most of my life. My job made me move away, but now I no longer work and am thinking of retrning to the state. I would want to be in the upper part of the lower penninsula- maybe Traverse City area. What can any of you in that area say? How is the crime in that area? I suppose it has become even more 'touristy'- but is it less so because of bad economy? What are your thought- people from that area, please/

I tried very hard to find a job in Traverse City so we could re-locate there. After 12 months of looking I gave up, moved to Grand Rapids (where there are plenty of jobs, thank you very much) and called it a day.
