I've been looking at property for sale on craigslist.
Been working hard all my life and I still can't afford Michigan waterfront property

Saw some on the Rainey River - is it kayakable? Or just a little mosquito nursery?

Assuming you're talking about the Rainy River near Millersburg and Onaway, I know that Rainy Lake, which I think is fed by or drained by the Rainy River, is subject to very large variances in water levels. The lake can be 10 feet (or more) higher or lower in a given year from the previous year. More than likely the river has similar variances to a smaller degree.
