I am working on a project for a gangs class I am currently taking at U of M. I am comparing the two middle schools in Grand Blanc and I am looking for any comments anyone has on the differences between East and West Grand Blanc. I am mostly comparing social class, but anything would be appreciated.

Thank you!

If this is for a college course, shouldn't you be doing a more SCIENTIFICALLY VALID study? Shouldn't you be making sure your sample size is adequate and based on a representative sample equivalent to the makeup of the state (economically, racially, genderwise, etc.)?

This post smells trollish...like it's just trying to incite a race argument...

Did you try talking to the middle schools first?

I am not sure I would either has gangs, so to speak, The city also tried to make the divide less the affluent versus the non-affluent when the built the school on the east and west, since north / south may have been worse in the divide.

The schools are what you make of them. There are upper middle class at both school and there are those that receive free lunch at both schools.

The kids desire to learn and have friends and fit in is principally the same.

Why would you pick the middle school of Grand Blanc to base your research on, try a city school versus a suburb school, you are bound to see the differences better, it definitely would give you a better idea of gangs than either middle school in grand Blanc
