I heard the old alkali plant near Bay City is haunted. My wife says her sister was setting on a cement wall there once and was pushed off. This was many, many years ago. I have seen pictures, and its all crumbled down with rumers of worshippings out there also.

The Alkali is creepy, for sure. In high school we would always sneak out there. I remember hearing about worshipping, but all I ever saw out there was graffiti and litter. One time my friends and I were out there and heard some other people coming so we took off.

I think it's sort of a self-fulfilling "haunting." Everyone hears rumors about things going on there, so many people go out there late at night, and when they hear each other they scare each other and take off, haha.

Nope no sliding glass door. He was there right in front of the pool.

Default No one added the Paulding Light?

The Paulding Light, Watersmeet, MI

Pretty sure this is as real as any other... but it is fairly popular, so would be worth checking out.

Also, would *love* to see any ghostly activity in Calumet Theatre on film. I haven't been but heard it is a beautiful place.

Stayed at the Michigan House Cafe in Calumet; supposed to be a tall man ghost there, also. He never showed up though

Happy ghost hunting!

We'd love to get in to Greenfield Village for an investigation for a story in our next book. Getting strong resistance. Lots of activity I've heard in the Daniel Webster home and Firestone barn.

We have investigated Calumet Theater and collected some good EVPs. Also checked out the Italian Hall site at night with more EVP. Incredible story(s) we'll have in our next book.

The article in the Alpena News regarding the haunting of John Lau Saloon was based on an investigation conducted by Mid Michigan Paranormal Investigators and the authors of Haunted Travels of Michigan. I am one of the authors who spoke at John Lau Saloon fall of 2008 and at the Alpena County Library 2009. An incredible history and story associated with John A. Lau Sallon with audio evidence which seems to validate a residual haunting.
