This is going to sound strange but my experience in Michigan foods, I remember everyone made Wet burritos. I've lived several other states, and you wouldn't expect it from Michigan, but no other state I've lived in (besides touching down in New Mexico for a few weeks) seems to have such a love for the wet burrito! Alot of my friends parents made them and several of the local restaruants in my small town of Belding, Michigan excelled in making them! Big, fat, smothered in sauce and cheese.

I also miss the cherries and apples.

I'm originally from IN but lived about 30 min from the MI border. My family and I used to go to Redamac's all the time. Super yummy. And the Stray Dog. Both in New Buffalo. I try to visit at least one of those places every time I fly back. And all the fruit stands along the Red Arrow Hwy.

Forgot about Clementine's! Used to go there with my grandma when I was a kid.

Have to say the only food I really miss is the Polish food from Legs Inn and strangely enough Franks sweet sauerkraut, we just don't seem to be able to get it here in Alaska.

Send your folks to Texas. I could use a hit of home food about now!
