What happened to the D80? Is it for sure DOA, or is there a hope of some life remaining? Mine was declared dead and gone by 2 places, then Marks Camera in GR took one look and gave me a quote to bring it back to the land of the living. $237 dollars later my baby was back good as new. Totally repaired, cleaned top to bottom, and looking like the day I took it out of the box.

I've known a couple people who owned the D90 and loved it. With the release of the D7000 do they still have the D90 new or only used? I've played with both and I did not like the feel of the D7000. Hope you get what you want soon.

I know you can on Ebay, but I havent really checked any stores. I heard the D7000 was really nice, but seems a bit too pricey. Any money I was saving for the camera, now will have to go for an air compressor for my plasma cutter...it also took a dump.

I wanted first dibs on fall color pics, so I took these today of some trees in a marshy area. Not sure what kind of trees these are, but they always seem to turn red in September, and they're always in low-lying areas.

I've been wondering this myself. This is exactly where I see them - in areas that are flooded or swampy in the spring. I saw some turning in mid Aug. even.
