We might hit 80 F today. This obliterates the all time high temperature record for November.

And summer is now officially over, I highly doubt we are seeing that again until May next year. That was an incredible run over the past week for November.

Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon were incredible days for November.

Tues was warm but super windy and kind of overcast.

What was crazy were the morning lows over the past weekend, it was barely getting below 60 at night.

This morning was 44 in western Oakland county, which is still pretty balmy for November.
I didn't hear the front come through last night. We only got 0.04 on the rain gauge.

Back to typical November weather today. In the 50’s. I was trying to catch the Amtrak Veterans Day special train, but no luck at all .

Yesterday reached 75º and day before was 78º here in mid-Michigan. Think it did not set a record, though. Then temp last night plummeted to 28º, and I woke to 30º - like summer to winter, no fall season. But we still have mountains of pin oak and hickory leaves to remind us that it is still fall!

We are in a bit of a cooler-than-average trend right now, but that could easily swing the other way a bit.
We always get a good stretch of 70s-80s in early Oct. Planning to burn a few vacation days when I see those in the forecast.

Last winter (2019-2020) was pretty meek-and-mild by Michigan standards.
Snowfall was below normal for most of the state, but the snowpack did stick around up north since while temps were a bit on the mild side there was no major thaws or mid-winter melt-outs Up North.
Downstate was only a few notable snowfalls.
The polar vortex didn't really take hold unlike the winters prior.

We shall see for this year.

I actually thought we had a pretty awesome summer all considering. It was pretty hot at times especially in July, but there were a lot of good beach/water/lake days. August was overall pretty comfortable by and large and we actually started getting some rain after a very dry June & July.
It looks like there were not any major snow events in the Emmet County area in 2019. Is that correct?

Just when I had all the leaves cleaned up, today the very strong wind gusts are blowing the neighbor's leaves into my yard.

High winds today. What is the outage situation like ? I remember when this happened a few years back, many lost power and couldn’t heat their house.
DTE was roasted alive for their bad response in Royal Oak.
