I dont blame the kids. They are in little or no danger. I'd probably be the same I was them. Besides, a minority of people get it. On the cruise ship that was quarantined, only 700 of 4000 got it. Everyone does NOT get it.

See, but if we treat it like that, then MORE will get it. We have to behave as though everyone is at risk or else, well, everyone is at risk.

It is not about your personal safety, but about not spreading it to others. Even if you do nto get it, you can spread it.

GOv. Whitmer said that without controls 7 million people in Michigan will get it. She also said 40% of the current cases were people between 20 and 40 something. Youngsters are not immune.

Exactly. People making the same mistake everywhere.

It's not bad (after lockdown was imposed on Cruise). If NO lockdown was imposed, and people just freely wandered around, 100% of people will get it.

They made efforts to isolate the passengers from each other by making them stay in their cabins once they realized they had some cases.

Several of those nursing homes with outbreaks had a solid majority of them get it (despite efforts to avoid spread). And that lawyer that seems to have started the outbreak in Westchester NY infected all of the other 4 members of his household. Then gave it to his colleague who gave it to 3/4 of the rest of his household.

But you can give it! How many sick should people be responsible for?

Scary how quickly this thing blew up in SE Michigan. We went from one of the last states to not have any confirmed cases to top 5 in the nation seemingly overnight. Overall, people seem to be complying with social distancing and other restrictions so hopefully that starts to reflect in the numbers soon.

Has anyone here had to file for unemployment due to their work shutting down or reducing hours because of Covid 19?

Yeah, it's now one of four regions with significantly more deaths per capita than any other region

Highest deaths per capita:

1. South-Central Louisiana (centered around New Orleans)
2. Tri-State Region (centered around New York City)
3. North-West Washington (centered around Seattle)
4. South-East Michigan (centered around Detroit)

The Indianapolis area is a distant 5th.
