You could try Pinkney or Hell. A bit of a run to Ann Arbor but not too far. lots of land out there, not sure what the cost is. Pinkney has pretty good schools. I do not know what school district hell is in, it does not have its own schools.

It is funny how many Silver lakes there are in Michigan. Many of the kids I went to high school with (South Lyon) live on Silver lake. There are to others in SE Michigan I have run across and another on the west side.
A lot of people who live there seem to pronounce it Pick ney. Trying to spell it always annoyed me. I used to work at Lakelands country club back before time began. Is it still there?
