If this was normal, there would not be any big trees left in Michigan, especially Pine and cypress trees. Also no dog houses, trampolines, tarps, trash cans, . . . What else did people see blowing around?

(And no responding that you saw the answer blowing in the wind).

I saw a plastic swimming pools fly across the intersection of Inkster road and 6 Mile.

I was shocked to see so many busy intersections without traffic lights for days, some were out until yesterday. We live in Southfield and did not lose power or have any noticeable damage. However, there were many areas near us that did lose power.

Many people worked from home yesterday because of the weather but I did hear someone (who was without power all weekend and still was yesterday morning) joking that he came in extra early because the office is warm and has power.

It was a pretty crazy weather event that I think we will be talking about for years. It was an interesting experience.

It is getting to be the new normal, from what I hear, but even for today's exaggerated weather events that was quite a strong breeze. We are starting to get tornadoes in areas where they have never been recorded before -- Main Street in Brighton a couple of year ago, blocks from where I live, and for the 3 years before that we got almost the first tornadoes ever in Howell and Fenton.

The most spectacular event we had in Howell, where I work, was a flying Dumpster that landed at a major intersection and forced some long detours.
