Hello,

Does anyone know of a Christian community near Troy?

I'm a youngish retiree and want to move near my daughter near Detroit.

I'm not sure what you mean? Are you looking for a compound or colony of some sort? I don't you'll find that in the densely populated suburbs. If you simply mean a city with churches, then Troy would suit your needs.

Most of South-East Mich. is Christian, I do know that Troy is very Christian, it has many Churches and Parishes all over the City. Truly, there are not many cities in south-east Michigan that don't have a high % of Christians.

If you want Christian as in very religious, I would suggest the West side of the state. Most of the Detroit burbs are 21st century Christian.. their god is the dollar.

That said I would recommend Clarkston as a Great Community to live in and there are plenty of Churches and Christians.

If your daughter is in the Troy area and you want to live close, you'd be able to find what you are looking for right in Troy. Just about any Christian denomination you can think of has a church in Troy. If you want a little distance, Clarkston would be a great choice, too.

I'd say anywhere basically on that side of town is is fine, though Sterling Heights is a little more muslim, West Bloomfield a little more Jewish along with Oak Park and the likes, but there's not too many places you could go around there that's not at least somewhat Christian.
