My husband and I want to move from the Lansing area. We are considering the Bellevue and Olivet area. We are looking for land to build a barn house.
Any advice?

I know of Land in Mott Hills just north of Olivet, Its very nice. If you want more land go east on Belleuve Hwy heading toward Eaton Rapids. Last time I was out that way ( a few weeks ago) I saw a few for sale signs.
Best of luck!!

Dietcoke, take it from me, an import who bought a farmhouse and land in Bellevue 10 years ago. Don't invest your money here. The town is absolutely dead, and, I'm talking buried and gone! We realized after all these years and money invested in this place, we can't even get what we paid for it, back in 1999. Please..don't make the same mistake we did, romantize the pretty countryside and lower prices. Go more towards MARSHALL...your dollar will repay you later. Olivet is also downtrodden, even with the college. I know, days have been brighter...but, some places NEVER appreciate. This is one of them. But if that doesn't bother you, then go for it...and best of luck to you, whatever you decide to do. It's a big decision I know.

Good Luck.

Bellevue is great. For the most part I love the people here. I went to school with them. Yes we have our down falls but who doesn't? I'm glad I am raising my son here. My husband and I couldn't be happier!
