IF you move to Michigan......and Michigan will always have my heart.....you MUST travel upnorth.

Traverse City, Mackinaw Island, Grand Marais in the U.P. on Lake Superior, Munising on Lake Superior (and take the boat trip to view the pictured rocks along the Lake Superior shoreline or rent a kayak and paddle along the shore of the rocks along LakeSuperior), or go to Interlochen and watch an outdoor concert under the stars. And make sure you visit the Traverse City Cherry Pie Company and have a sweet taste of Michigan...Cherry Pie! Nothing gets better than that. And if you go to the U.P.have a pasty. (it is a meat pie famous in the U.P.)...gosh I could go on forever.

Michigan has so much to offer.

Don't be put off by the talk about the weather.

Yes, it snows and gets cold in the winter. But you also have snow skiing, cross country skiing, snow-mobiling, skating, ice fishing and all kinds of winter festivals.

In the summer it is swimming,boating, water skiing,fishing, camping out, sitting by a fire by the lake, and OMG......THE STARS at night upnorth is awesome. If you hit it just right....you will see meteor showers and the northern lights. I kid you not!

If you grow up in Michigan......you go " UPNORTH! "
