Duly noted.

make sure you let us know how it goes!
I'm back in Cheboygan visiting...my younger bro is going to Nub's today with a bunch of his buddies (didn't invite his older sister )...and a friend went yesterday and had a blast....so it's still up there in quality!

Looking forward to hearing your review

As planned, my son and I went yesterday. We had an absolute BLAST! We got there just prior to 9:00, and didn't leave until 4:00. I somehow managed to go the entire day without falling even once. Where we go in Ohio, Mad River Mountain, has absolutely nothing on Nubs Nob. We'll definitely be going back. Thanks to all for the recommendation!

We encountered only one downside. We found their rental boots to be extremely uncomfortable. We tried all day long to adjust them so that they wouldn't hurt our feet, but with no luck. I was sorry that I didn't double up socks, regardless of their site's recommendation. The skis were great, with nicely adjusted bindings and a good edge.

How were the conditions? I heard that over here at Boyne Mountain there are patches of dirt coming through. This morning it's 50deg. Sounds like you had a case of good timing packed along in your luggage.

Conditions were excellent on the slopes with the machine made snow. They have a couple slopes with only natural snow, and there was dirt showing in a few places on those.

The weather was just about perfect. It actually started getting a little to warm for the gear we had on towards the end of the day.

The Nob is a great place. Glad you had a good time. I miss my runs over there during the winter months to go skiing. I used to live in Gaylord and have skied every place in Northern Michigan that combines snow and a lift... even some that are long gone and all but forgotten now.

Even "Tyrolean Hills" in the Gaylord area

Thunder Mountain and Walloon Hills were a little before my time, but my parents still referred to them by that name, so I know where you are talking about.

Dang, I forgot about Tyrolean. Remember the "Kandahar Barn"? It wasnt a ski resort but was a ski-theme bar/restaurant/night club somewhere along 131 (I think).
