Katie has not paid us a visit since 3-14-13.

I hope she did not freeze to death.

If a person knowingly goes out in 23 degree temp at 2:03am with a quarter tank of gas, and no funds to obtain more, other than the opportunity to work as an Uber/Lyft driver (drivers can get paid immediately to their debit card and can therefore obtain cash from an ATM if at least $20 is reached, or any less than that can use their debit card at the gas pump), and lives in a small southern town in North Carolina, with the education of a bachelor's degree, freeze to death? And if they take this risk is it considered *borderline suisude? (*Borderline terminology: within the borders of being sane vs insane). If they die is it considered suicide? And if they don't die nobody notices. And if others around them who know that this person could potentially go and try to work in 23 degree weather without funds,v be charged in any way with someone else's suicide

Realizing an 8 year old thread has been resurrected my lovely wife had a brother who froze to death on a park bench in one of the Grosse Pointes in December of 2003.

If the driver is dressed appropriately and has a wool blanket in the car s/he won't freeze to death in those temperatures.

Thank you, although I never knew him. My wife and I met the following summer.
By way of background.....
I know he suffered substance abuse problems and was known to have occasional "seizures" that may or may not have been epileptic. He was estranged from the family and only my wife and her mother were willing to have much to do with him. He was in and out of homelessness and at times no one in the family knew if he was staying somewhere or not.
