Late September into October is a special time in this state. The crisp air, blazing foliage, cider, donuts, apple picking, etc. What are your plans now that Fall is just about here? I will be traveling to Saugutuck in mid-October for fall color peeping, but Im sure I will be taking some hikes in parks here in metro-Detroit as well. What is everyone else planning? Favorite cider mills?

I am lucky enough to live in a spot where I dont have to travel to do any of the fun Fall things! Will take a drive up the Hogs Back in EJ to check out the colors, hit some Orchards to pick apples, hike Lake Michigan shore-line.....ah, I love living here!

Copper Harbor is a great choice for a mini fall week-end.... Its been a while , and I keep putting it off, year after year. I would recomend the KML as a place to stay, great log lodge, built in the 30s , with cabins and a golf coarse.
Its very busy this time of year up there, so maybe no room at the inn?...Its a long trip for day tripping, and we got lots of color right here in Marquette area,....so , maybe talking myself out of it again.....I do need a break from building.....finding the time is always a problem , for all of us it seems, as winter is just around the corner. Time to cut firewood, build a wood box , insulate the garage, finish the siding, gutters, deck railing , fall landscaping, ....and sitting on my deck looking out at the lake and the maples ablaze down in the valley...not all bad.

You're so predictable. I plan on tuning up my snowblower, getting new tires for the wife's vehicle, putting the snow tires on my car and pray we get 200" of snow and temps far below normal until March
