Hi i'm visiting Miami for the 1st time with my 4 young children and I'm wondering if anyone could suggest a family friendly beach area. We will be visiting the childrens museum and our hotel is very close to that so we would like the beach to be close by also.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

South Beach can be fine for children, another idea is Bill Baggs State Park on Key Biscayne.

My wife and I took our 6-year old daughter to South Beach in late March and had no concerns that it wasn't family-friendly enough.

Thank you everyone, I just want to go someplace where there will be no nudity and super skimpy bikinis. I know thats hard when you're talking about going to a beach but I have 3 young boys and dont need them having to look at that.

south beach is fine, any kid would love south beach. i wish my parents would have been able to bring me there. a kid will like south beach a lot more than theyd enjoy a small beach on key biscayne. you're going to see bikinis in any part of florida, good luck avoiding that one ! but there won't be nudity really

i think the beaches on key biscayne are nicer than south beach....the weater is nice/cleaner (i don't know why) and the sand on key biscayne is much nicer than that hard dense sand on south beach.

i personally love the beaches on key biscayne if im going out to read a book on a free afternoon (which is one or two times a year) but when i was 5-10 id prefer south beach any day
