Nowhere unless you really want to live in one of the worst areas of South Florida. Nevermind finding a nice little 'niche' in a neighborhood that hasn't been affected by the bad people. You will encounter the worst of the worst every day when you have to go to a gas station, grocery store, etc.

Come on now, there's got to be one good area. What area does the mayor live in? And what about the area around Dolphin Stadiums and Calder Race Course?

West Miami Gardens is nice....talking about when you get off onto Miami Gardens Drive from I-75. East Miami-Gardens is junk...except for Tootsies of course. =)

Have you ever been to Miami Gardens? Why do you want to move there? Why are you so defensive about it? It's a horrible area.

no dude...the area around dolphin stadium is carol city / miami gardens. You DEFINITELY don't want to be there...Calder Race course borders Miramar at County Line Road...definitely not a place you want to be either. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is ! You get what you pay for...rememember that!

I was actually driving through the Andover neighborhood the other day and I have to say it's actually nice. All the houses look like 60/70's type housing.

I have never been there, but I do not believe that the whole city is horrible. Every city has a good and bad side; a city may have more bad than good areas (which sounds like Miami Gardens), but there is still some good.

I am also defensive because Miami Gardens' population is predominantly black, and on many city forums on city-data, I have seen that people have over exaggerated when it came to giving information about areas with a minority majority. I live in Atlanta, and have read many posts that have made certain minority areas in Atlanta seem like hell on earth, and its not even like that. I'm not saying your information is wrong, but it may be exaggerated.

You said the whole area was horrible, but other posters have said otherwise. What do you think about the areas they have mentioned (West Miami Gardens and Andover)?
