The bp gas station is no more because they are building another condo on that spot, therefore filling that gap on the biscayne wall. Wth man, that gas station is the only one in the area. The closest other ones would be on 36th st & us1, and the other in south brickell.

I voted NO, mainly because there is plenty of vacant land next door that is currently used as surface parking lots. Those locations should be developed first, before replacing existing businesses with condos...especially businesses that stay open after dark. I guess the fuel stations down in Brickell will get even more congested!

The tower's designs will be unveiled early next year and will be the "most iconic tower ever to be built in Miami."

There are some stations closer. There is one off NE 2nd near Braman one off SW 7th and SE 2nd and there is a BP a few blocks south of 36th street.

Anyway many of those plots of land including the parking lots will be sold are already have been for future development.

Correct. Those parking lots are owned by the people working towards building Miami World Center (which also recently acquired the Miami Arena site.)

If Miami World Center comes to fruition it will be a major major major development and will really revamp a massive part of Downtown.

That BP station has been closed since May according to CurbedMiami and it was only a matter of time before the land value was worth more than selling gas there. BP bought that station in 1992 for $1.1 million and is now valued at nearly $6 million dollars so they will make a nice healthy profit.
As for condos for rich snobby people? The city of Miami needs as many wealthy residents as it can get paying taxes.
