Tsunamis & the flatness of South Florida?

I haven't heard of people talking about them.

But, with how flat is it throughout South Florida, it seems that if one did occur, they'd certainly travel quite far inland?

Anyone hear much about tsunamis and the likelihood in South Florida?

They don't get much attention because the only two ways a Tsunami will ever occur in Florida is a huge piece of land falls into the Atlantic such as La Palma - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia or a large space object impact such as a comet or asteroid hit the Atlantic or Gulf etc..

So really if Florida ever did get hit by one the whole entire East Coast and Caribbean would be SOL also.

Plus, the whole La Palma incident was really overblown by a couple of scientists a few years ago. The chance of anything actually originating at La Palma are minuscule. A large space rock would be the next largest threat and that is even more minuscule.

This is about as far as the tsunami threat goes in Florida.
