Just trying to find out a little about the area around the Johnson and Wales campus.
I know to the west of there isn't the greatest but just wanted to see if anyone could give me an idea of the area right around the campus.
My son is 6'5", 225 lbs so he can take care of himself but as a parent I also don't want to send him into an area he will have to look over his shoulder all the time.

Its a pretty decent area with a lot of amenities nearby. Gym, publix, walgreens, vitamin shoppe, i know that section always has security nearby so its pretty good. West is North Miami is a little shady. South is Miami Shores and north is north miami beach and aventura

Appreciate it. Used to live in Davie and worked a few miles west of where the campus is but that was 20 years ago.

For apartments, definitely look at the "San Suoci" neighborhood east of US1 around 123rd, unless you really need something something right next to campus (which is west of US1). You'd be surprised how much difference there is between east and west of US1.

He would be in campus housing so no issues there.

Johnson and Wales Campus area is no bad. It is little bid west of US1. I know very well that area so I am sure your son will feel pleasant and safe.
