Judging by the name it sounds like this person is doing market research for someone. Don't really know the answer to the question though.

The same things that are here are the same things everywhere else. A person can dit dot around the country and see people engage in purchasing and eating the same things, with stores having the same items on the shelves.

I don't know, new fads don't always diffuse instantly. I'm not one to watch these things though so I'm not sure, but I have heard people say things like, "I was just in Cleveland and I noticed that everyone there was wearing *insert something here that went out of fashion in Miami 6 months ago*"

I don't know if this helps, but there is a brand of coffee that I find no where else except in southern Florida.

It's called Pilon, by Rowland Coffee Roaster's Inc of Miami, Florida, according to the label. So I assume that the company buys beans from a list of central and south American countries (see label) and roasts in Miami and distributes regionally.

It comes in grinds for filtered brewing or as instant espresso. I prefer the instant espresso.

Now, I can't say how popular or trendy it is in Miami right now, it is one of many choices on supermarket shelves, but it is definitely a Miami product, and I cannot say for sure that it is not distributed outside of the southern Florida region, but I do not find it, for example, in the New York area.

By the way, I noticed in the malls that many women, even girls, are wearing these suede leather open-toe boots. Don't know how long this trend has been around, but only in a climate like Miami's can it be a 12-months per year fashion trend ... heavy leather shoes and boots with the closed pointed toes were a global trend, probably starting in Milan, Italy, that lasted for about 20 years, seems to be finally fading now (thankfully, I though they were quite ugly).

Again, hope this helps.
