My family has the GLE, which recently went in for service. They gave us the GLA as a loaner so I think I can help you here.
The pick up is excellent and is really quick. Obviously MB takes time to make sure their engines are up to date. The horsepower is less than GLE. The GLA horsepower maxed out at 382. However, it is quicker than the GLE. This car is ideal for someone who commutes on the highway because it’s 0-60 ability.
I prefer the GLE in size because there is more leg room in the back.
I don’t know about your other questions, but parallel parking should not be an issue due to the size of this car.

I know but I would have specified if it was an AMG.
My guess is globetrekker96 was probably mistaken as he/she stated the horsepower is less than GLE.
A regular GLE is 329 hp.
I doubt they give out AMGs as loaner cars.
