I just bought a Mazda 3 and the sales person offered me a 100,000 mile, 48 month warranty for an additional $1200 dollars. Is this a good deal?
I think he said the regular warranty is about 36k miles and one year. I've never got an extended warranty but this is going to be used as a commuter vehicle so it might get 25k to 30k miles a year on it. Now that I said yes I'm wondering if I got ripped off.
Sorry but you got ripped off. The Mazda warrenty is 3 years 36K miles. So you just paid $1200 for a 1 year warrenty. Are you sure its not a longer warrenty? Most 100k warrenties are at least 7 years.
Settle down there buddy. I'm out of the states on business, I did the deal over the phone and fax. I will pick up the car next week.
I think you are the one who should settle down:
1) Your original post (that you have now changed) said "36k miles and one year" warranty.
2) A deal over the phone and fax sounds real smart.
3) A car that is going to be driven over 30K a year and you choose a Mazda
