We have really been leaning toward Easton, but the housing market with rentals doesn't seem to be panning out. Can anyone give me some ideas of other areas to live in that are more suburban, with good elementary schools, and a decent commute to Boston (have to commute daily to New England School of Law on stuart st). We are really looking for that quaint, village-like new england feel wherever we settle and are getting down to the wire hoping to move by July 1st. Help! lol

Sure thing. A few questions: Are you looking to take public transit or drive? What kind of a budget are you looing in? Apartment or home rental?

Public Transit ideally. Hoping for 2500 max and a single family home rental.
It seems I keep ending up finding some great homes that are as far away as places like Plymouth and Tyngsboro though. I fear they may mean very long daily commutes

The commuter rail from Franklin would put you at South Station, a short walk to the law school.

I know of a few single family homes for rent in Holliston, which is a very quintessential looking New England town & a few miles to the Commuter Rail, which would take you about an hour to get to South Station. re: your list on the previous post, Marlborough is more of a city than a small charming town.
