Hello! We are trying to gather up info on moving to Wakefield with our young family. Schools, childcare, family friendliness, safety are important to us. Are there any 3 BR apt complexes in the area we can check out? Are there any natural food stores in the area? Thanks so much for any input. We'll probably rent for a year or so.

Other areas we are looking at are Reading, Wilmington, Melrose... feel free to compare! Thanks!

This thread should be in the Massachusetts forum, not the Boston sub-forum.

I live in Lynnfield, which is next to Wakefield. Can't say I am aware of any apartment complexes that cater to families in the area, you are more likely to rent a whole house to get 3 bedrooms, I imagine.

Reading may have more to offer in the way of rentals, maybe Stoneham and Woburn too.

There is a Trader Joe's in nearby Saugus and a Whole Foods grocery store in Winchester.

What attracted you to Wakefield? Pperhaps others can offer more suggestions if you tell us what you are looking for and where you will be working.
