My street hasn’t been paved in decades. Eversource hasn’t replaced gas lines yet so it will be a few years. It’s a high pedestrian area with no sidewalks so I’d rather not see it paved unless they install a sidewalk.

Not surprising but it looks like things are slowing down here. Nobody is buying at Q1 2022 prices and realtors seem to be listing at those price levels to get the listing and then drop the price. The waterfront properties and anything behind a gate in a summer community doesn’t make it to MLS. A very bifurcated market.

Won't do you much good - you'd end up paying the same or more because money printer is going brrrrrr and interest rates are off to the moon.

Prices haven’t really come down in this area, yet. However, the situation nationally has clearly slowed, with major markets being impacted. Eventually this will make its way to the northeast. It will be interesting to see which areas within our region are more insulated than others.

Prices have started to drop on eastern Long Island which is not a good signal for the vacation home market.

If you were looking for a condo under 300k... yeah you are going to have a bad time. There is stuff out there but it's all in like Framingham, Worcester, Brockton...

is it possible to buy a 3b/2br w/ 1,500 sqft inside of 495 for less than $500k?

seems like you need 600k to buy a family-sized house inside of 495 now

You can't be too picky, but yes they are available.

One quick look, there is a 2 BR in Stoughton listed for $280K. More choices if you are OK with a 1 BR. None of these are glamorous, but they would be fine for a first time buyer. I personally wouldn't buy one of those, but they do exist. And nothing wrong with the majority of Framingham, by the way.
