Was wondering how you would compare and contrast these towns? Not so much for schools, but other quality of life, cultural activities in town or nearby, commute options to Boston/Cambridge etc.

Could you provide us an example of a recent cultural event you enjoyed? That might help us steer you to your favorite towns.
There are things to do and enjoy in Medfield and Holliston. More outdoor than indoor, for example Medfield has the Rocky Woods trustee property. They have events such as Brew Moon Hikes. There is also in Medfield a yearly polo match to raise money for non-profit that anyone can attend for $15.00 a person and bring your own seat.
Somehow, I have a feeling you are looking more for indie book store and library and museum type things. Please correct me if my radar is off.
Also, in response to your other thread, I want to mention that neither Medfield or Holliston are a 30 minute ride to Cambridge.

Yes, I'm looking at Natick, Beverly, and Salem, although the latter two seem a bit far. But you're right, Medfield & Holliston are as well. But I like their town centers and am still struggling to determine if I want more urban or rural.
As far as culture, if the town sponsors lectures and concerts from visiting groups, profs., etc., and there are book groups for adults, etc., and a film series somewhere, also for adults, that sort of thing, I think I would be happy living there. I can get more for my $ there vs. some closer towns, so am keeping my net wide at this point.

Natick has two libraries. Morse is the big one in the center. Bacon is in historic South Natick. They have many gatherings for history and antique buffs. I went to a talk on antique furniture they had that was really good.
I love all of these towns, but I do think Natick would be closest to your ideal. You are also really connected to Wellesley to enjoy what Babson and Wellesley College have to offer if you live there too.
