I'm interviewing with a company with openings in Chelmsford and Danvers. My husband says Chelmsford because it's closer to where he works in Norwood and he says he just doesn't like the feel of the north shore for some reason (?). So I'm trying to get more info about potential towns we could live somewhere between both our jobs. It doesn't have to be perfectly even or directly off 95/route 3, but something where we both had hopefully less than a 25-30 mile commute. Here's what we're looking for:
- Rent (house, apt) is less than $1600, don't want to go over $1750 once heat & hot water are added.
- Neighborhood street parking is easy if no driveway
- 1-2 bedroom. Clean, well-kept, not a hole in the wall
- Good amenities, restaurants, coffee shops, frozen yogurt
- Don't mind a "yuppie" feeling
- Home-y or nice feel to the town
- Relatively easy access to 95/128/3 or something that connects to them
- Green space, parks, etc
- A place we could have a yard would be a plus, not necessary
- Nice town center would also be nice, but not necessary
We're 29 with no kids so good schools aren't an issue. Those huge apartment village complexes are fine too.
With our budget what places are we looking at and what are we priced out of?
