Hi, I think I know the answer but wanted to ask anyways.

I just moved to Marlborough for my spouses job (we are from Chicago) and I have been job hunting. I got a lead on something in Plymouth but I looked on the map and this is 60 miles away. Normally I would think this is impossible, but an old friend I know commutes from Sharon to Rhode Island (50miles) and he says it's doable because it's reverse commute. I'm used to 1+ hour commutes but I think this distance is pushing it. Thoughts from the locals? Any help appreciated.

I'd consider it for a great perfect job, but it's not all 60 mph for an hour. There is just too much traffic during normal business hours, even with a reverse commute, it can get messy, and remember bad weather, too.
Maybe live somewhere in between the two towns? Best wishes on your job hunt.

I've done it off and on for about 4 years, not Marlboro, but a little further North. It's doable, but four hundred and ninety fifth street is a boring road imo. I cut across rt 44 and I absolutely hate the road. All in all, it is definitely doable.

I commuted from Plymouth to Westboro (right near Marlboro) and I agree with wheelz it's doable but lengthy.
495 is usually not nearly as bad other routes in the Boston area during rush hour. Plymouth is a nice area and worth it if you don't mind spending the gas and mileage on your car.
