- property taxes keep going up; makes sense with all the municipal spending taking place, but it hurts. if low taxes are your thing, make sure you look into the town's spending plans and current taxes rates.

- we've got a son now; we are much more open minded about municipal spending on schools, etc than perhaps some of the older folks in town who already paid for their kids' schools to be built, etc. still, watching the rating closely it's nice to see North Reading actually besting Andover in several places. education has been a major priority by the town since shortly before we bought. we are happy for that.
Glad to hear you liked your choice!

North Reading ranked 46 in the state's top 50 last year (2014) So that is a good sign, we keep moving up!

Best Public Schools in Boston 2014

More and more people that are concerned with making this a great town move in every year. I see more school participation with parents, more community activism, involvement and running for committees.

The people moving in are here to stay and make a difference.

NRMS Construction Update 12/19/14 - geofsimons

Talk of getting off local water, and moving to MWRA, by 2019, which will lead to sewer in some parts of town most likely main street, which needs it.
Oh and here is a video with a drone of the old and new school campus.

We lived in a good size home in Andover when we decided to do downsize. We bought a townhouse in North Reading. We loved North Reading. We had no children in the school system but the students I met were doing just as well as those in the Andover schools. I highly recommend North Reading and Andover.
